This pass leads into Charlotte Harbor which is an estuary to a variety of fish and marine mammals. The pass provides a large food supply for the tarpon and other game fish on their migratory patterns. During the months of May-June, Boca Grande can be considered one of the best fisheries in the world for big snook and tarpon.
